I choose to see my brother’s sinlessness.
Sometimes we may receive little inspirations to call or talk with a loved one. Perhaps it is a parent, a brother or sister, or a friend. These are inspirations of healing prompted by the Holy Spirit. We often habitually respond to these inspirations with fearful thoughts and other distractions that ultimately convince us not to make the healing connection.
In these moments we have mistakenly made the choice of listening to the voice of the ego. The voice of the ego is very good at bringing up subtle feelings of our own past guilt around relationships and then projecting these fearful thoughts out towards something else to distract us from getting in touch with our own guilt. These are moments when it appears that we have chosen to see our brothers sinfulness but what is really happening is that we chose to see our own sinfulness. And because of the pain of seeing our seeming sinfulness within ourselves we project it away from us to relieve the pain. This all happens very quickly and unconsciously.
