Let not my world obscure the sight of Christ.
What Jesus is referring to here is the shift in perception that we can experience when we practice stilling our minds during meditation on the daily lesson. When we practice settling down and stilling our minds and observing the dark screen of our mind’s eye we wait for Holy Spirit to shift our perception to an experience of seeing the white Light of Christ. We will see It as clear as day as soon as it happens. We need do nothing to make it happen but sit still and observe the dark screen of our mind’s eye and wait for Him to change the channel.
If you could imagine that you are just observing a dark movie screen and Holy Spirit has the remote control, in an instant, a holy instant, at precisely the perfect moment He’ll press the button on the remote control and the spark or the flash from the white Light of Christ will be perceived. This is the shift we’re talking about here, this is the beginning of the restoration of True Vision, True Seeing. With practice the flashes become brighter and last longer. During the longer experiences other sights will be given. The Light is a gift from Father because It shows us the way Home. It is one of the primary goals of the Course which is why Jesus spends so much time in the Workbook Lessons having us practice getting to the experience.
