My holiness shines bright and clear today.
I did not wake in joy initially as the lesson suggests. Yet, even with a migraine, I realized it was an opportunity to forgive the migraine and simply rest in my holiness and I did so as Paul read today’s reading. I fell dreamily back to sleep with happy expectation of waking to a day filled with peace instead of pain.
A little later then this morning, awake and feeling clearer, I began my communion time with Holy Spirit. As I drifted off in meditation, I began to hear the song “On a Clear Day.” I remembered the song vaguely as one that we sang in Glee Club back in high school probably 26 or so years ago. Recalling all the lyrics was escaping me but I could hear in my mind the haunting line of “On a clear day you can see forever.” Then all of a sudden I recalled something to the effect of rising and looking about and remembering who you really are.
With great excitement then, of course I just had to do a search for the lyrics on the internet. And my goodness how beautiful the lyrics are! Tears began to stream down my face. Thank You Holy Spirit for reminding me of my radiance and holiness in such a glorious yet simple, unexpected form. On a clear day
Rise and look around you
And you’ll see who you are
On a clear day
How it will astound you
That the glow of your being
Outshines every star
You’ll feel part of every mountain sea and shore
You can hear
From far and near
A word you’ve never, never heard before…
And on a clear day…On a clear day…
You can see forever…
And ever more. . .
