I will not value what is valueless.

The idea of choice comes to mind with this lesson today. I make the decisions of what I value or not value. Do I value time? Outcomes? Others? Do I make an idol of anything or anybody? The Course itself? The Course tells me that I weep each time an idol falls meaning that each time I have placed value, attachment or my happiness on something or someone outside of me and then I see that it will not or did not fulfill me, then yes, I seem to experience a sense of loss or grief over the so-called “idol.” I believed my salvation lied in it or them. If I come truly with empty hands and an open mind as suggested today, I will be asking only for what can sustain me in truth. I then ask for what is of true value, that which is within me, my undeniable Divine nature, my connection with Father. I have everything of value in Him for it is already mine. I just need to recognize what I not of value and the beauty of Love will shine brightly forth and forever.

******************

Since you’re here… …we have a small favor to ask. More people are reading our posts, listening to our audios and watching our videos than ever before but far fewer are donating for it. As an all-volunteer ministry, you can see why we need to ask for your help. MiraclesOne provides ACIM resources freely however it takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe in encouraging others to practically apply the Course principles in their lives – because it might just make the one difference in your life. If everyone who reads, listens or watches and likes what we offer helps to pay for it we can continue to afford our expenses and keep our resources FREE to all ACIM Students. Monthly Donors receive free gifts in appreciation for their support.
