There is nothing to fear.

As today’s Lesson states, “The presence of fear is a sure sign that you are trusting in your own strength.” In just the above examples, underlying it all is a sense of wanting to control the outcome to any of the situations. What vested interest do I have in, say if my car doesn’t start and I am late for an appointment? What does that feel like to me? It may arouse a sense of anger and frustration for I have it set within my own mind that I need to be at a certain place at a certain time. I have made the plan and I have not allowed Holy Spirit’s plan to enter. The sense of anger and frustration stem from fear since there is either the presence of love or the presence of fear. And fear, the Course tells us, is not real.
I have nothing to fear when I rely on the Divine within. God’s strength is there and when I am aware that there is nothing to fear then I have remembered God is present in my life. I trust and let go and allow Him to lead me. Today’s Lesson is a lesson in mindfulness. I am to use the idea in every situation immediately as soon as I am aware of a disturbance to my peace. I am willing today to let go of everything that I have known and allow Him to lead. I will always be led in the right direction, the direction of Home.
