Now will I seek and find the peace of God
When I read this lesson this morning I thought of a conversation my husband and I were having about his African Violet collection. He had just received an e-mail yesterday telling him that a member of the African Violet Society that he is a Board member of had sent leaves out to other members that had a type of fungus that destroys entire collections of Violets. My husband has friends that have over two thousand varieties of Violets. My husband is very particular in the way he cares for his Violets, but he still had that little voice telling him to go make sure all was well in “Violet Land.” There were some leaves and areas of some of the plants that needed a little care. All around the bloom could have been covered, but all was peaceful. In all the chaos of the plant fungus the blooms could have withered, but the blooms were beautiful and peaceful, just because they had a little cultivating and tending to. This brought about a “Holy Spirit Download” for me. The ego tries to make peace harder for me to find than it truly is. A little willingness is all I need to find the peace I so long for. It is in giving that willingness over to The Holy Spirit that he draws me closer and closer to my Source which is where my peace comes from my Source, my Creator. Peace is in my True Identity, my Inheritance and birthright It’s not hard. All I need to do is call on The Holy Spirit and quiet my mind and allow The Holy Spirit’s peace to wash over me like gentle refreshing rain. So, I looked at the example of the African Violet and the times when my life gets chaotic and looked at the similarities, where there any? Sure! Cultivation and tending the soil. My husband spends time with his Violets caring for and tending to them, cultivating the soil. I can look at the soil and the flower and apply it to my Spiritual journey. If I cultivate and tend the soil of my Heart/Soul than when chaos comes around in any form there can be peace, because I am learning to condition myself to seek out the peace in the midst of any chaos.
Wishing each of you the Deepest Peace,
