Introduction to Review VI
Review of Lesson 181
In this review period, 15 minutes twice a day, plus we add on hourly remembrances. This assists us in keeping God in the forefront of our minds. With God as our sole focus in our minds, our life is happier and easier. He also tells us here that the last 20 lessons contain everything we have learned in this Course. IF…we practice and apply. That is the key.
I am not a body. I am free. For I am still as God created me.
Our goal is to move beyond the words and into the experience of what the words hold. If we are tempted, we use: “This thought I do not want. I choose instead ____” and gratefully use the review lesson for the day. We place our trust in the Holy Spirit, our Teacher, to lead us on the path.
Lesson 201 – Review of Lesson 181
I trust my brothers, who are one with me.
Trust in my life has rocked me to the core. Mainly it’s been mistrust from childhood into adulthood. I know still even with my practice of ACIM for many, many years I can still have at times my antenna up in hyper-vigilance. I could place blame on the many people in my life who “caused” me to be this way. Ultimately, it is discernment with the Holy Spirit that can assist me in knowing whom to trust and when. In the end, I trust the true nature of my brothers.
That is what this lesson speaks of, trusting the truth in our brother. On that wavelength we can never fail or be hurt. There are times we need to step away from people in our lives who wish to do harm or hurt. We back away with love and offer the blessing. In this, we are blessed. As we learn to love ourselves, we learn to love everyone’s True Self. This comes with time as we study and practice. Certainly I am not the same person I was at the beginning of the 1990s opening the book for the first time. I am not the same person I was 10 years ago or even 10 days ago or 10 hours ago. We are fine-tuning who we are each day. You do grow, whether it seems a little or lot, let the process be what it is. Don’t worry, Holy Spirit has your back!
