I love this lesson. (Don’t I love them all?) No matter what I think about in relationship to “my” problem, concern or worry, it is only a mistaken thought. By allowing the True Thought to enter into my mind through my willingness, peace is restored.
The line in this lesson, “You were not meant to suffer and to die,” means to me not to take all of this illusion so seriously. I don’t have to punish myself. I don’t have to see myself as unworthy of God’s Love. I am to see myself as God created me.
Truth will correct all errors in my mind, And I will rest in Him Who is my Self.
I allow the correction and then I rest in God. No need for anything else.
Rest, my Child, simply rest.
In Peace, Rev. Deb
P.S. Here is a talk Rev. Gayle and I recorded in June 2014. It is on this very lesson and idea of how we can allow the Holy Spirit to lead us to a tranquil life.
Since you’re here… …we have a small favor to ask. More people are reading our posts, listening to our audios and watching our videos than ever before but far fewer are donating for it. As an all-volunteer ministry, you can see why we need to ask for your help. MiraclesOne provides ACIM resources freely however it takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe in encouraging others to practically apply the Course principles in their lives – because it might just make the one difference in your life. If everyone who reads, listens or watches and likes what we offer helps to pay for it we can continue to afford our expenses and keep our resources FREE to all ACIM Students. Monthly Donors receive free gifts in appreciation for their support.
