Keys to this Lesson
God’s peace and joy are yours and today you will accept and know that they belong to you.
These are not like gifts you know of here in the world where the giver loses and the taker is richer.
These are not the gifts of God.
Jesus tells us that a major learning goal of this course is to reverse our viewing on giving so we can receive.
We will come to know that they are one and the same.
These gifts grow as you give them, to others and yourself.
Today we are to accept and receive His peace and joy.
Thank Him for these gifts today.
Exercise
Begin by thinking of those brothers who have been denied by you the peace and joy that are their right under the equal laws of God.
Think of your enemies a while and tell each one as he occurs to you:
My brother, peace and joy I offer you, That I may have God’s peace and joy as mine.
You are preparing yourself to recognize God’s gifts to you.
You are ready to accept the gift of peace and joy that God has given you.
You are ready to experience the joy and peace you have denied yourself.
You will succeed if you prepare your mind as directed by Jesus today.
Let all the obstacles that stand in the way of peace and joy be put aside.
Tell yourself:
God’s peace and joy are mine.
Close your eyes for awhile and let His Voice assure you that the words you speak are true.
Spend 5 minutes an hour with Holy Spirit today.
If you forget, do not think that you are worthless.
Just remember when you can.
Remember to say hourly:
God’s peace and joy are mine.
Be determined not to interfere with God’s Will.
If you are tempted to deny a gift to your brother:
Bless and say:
My brother, peace and joy I offer you, That I may have God’s peace and joy as mine.
