We are in Review II where we now take a refresher on two lessons per day. We notice again that the review portion of these two lessons are given in the first person, or “I” messages. Interesting enough, when we place the messages this time in the first person, we are more apt to take ownership of the idea as we say it. Remember, Jesus knows what he is doing here!
The lessons are split in their practice, one for the first half of the day and the second for the latter half of the day.
Today we are reviewing “I am the light of the world” and “Forgiveness is my function as the light of the world.”
I hadn’t slept as well last night and at one moment when I was awake, I said to myself, “What if you just remember the truth, i.e. the light, and trust it?” If I trust the light/truth that is within me, then I would have no need to be concerned of other matters that I was mulling over in my mind.
By the relentless thoughts that were occurring, I was in fact blocking the light/truth, and blocking any notion of forgiveness. The focus on fearful thoughts (whatever form those may take) are to further the ego’s agenda to keep me frozen in place. In asking myself the question, it was first recognizing I did not like the thoughts I had and to accept responsibility.
In this, obviously, I was not listening to the Holy Spirit. As soon as I recognize I desire to see things differently, His Voice is there. As I said in our class last night on “The Holy Spirit, the Miracle and Forgiveness,” that moment I recognize and have the willingness, IS the Holy Spirit’s Voice.
That is my function and why I am here.
