Remembering that I am always at peace and nothing can disturb me is what keeps me on track. When I am off kilter it is because somewhere I have believed that my true nature is not of peace. I also believe that peace can be disturbed. Remember the 1st Obstacle to Peace in the Text, that obstacle is the DESIRE TO GET RID OF PEACE. We tell ourselves that peace is only something fleeting. Here for a little while but gone again to all the problems of the world.
The practice today is to know that God does not will that we be in conflict. He only wants us to know our True Self, to be centered and grounded. “What?” you say? Yes, that is what He wants for us. You want it too. You merely forgot how it is found. Stop and repeat the words for today and it will help you remember. Jesus also has us counteract any conflicting thoughts with “These conflict thoughts are meaningless.” And so they are. Remember that and peace will be there in your mind.
