Keys to this Lesson
Today’s lesson tells us that we are the light of the world as God’s Son. It is not arrogant to say this but it is the truth.
Your ego may get some satisfaction on this thought as it wants to glorify itself and make itself special.
Just accept humility in your role in salvation.
God’s Voice is with you and tells you only the truth in this huge step into accepting your function here and in your salvation.
This is an acknowledgement of the power that you have within.
Exercise
Begin and end the day with practice period.
Also as many practice periods as possible.
Practice for 1-2 minutes.
Tell yourself:
I am the light of the world. That is my only function. That is why I am here.
Reflect on these statements with eyes closed.
Let related thoughts come to you.
If your mind wanders repeat the central idea to yourself.
I am the light of the world.
Jesus shares the importance of starting and ending the day with practice. As he says:
Thus you will awaken with an acknowledgment of the truth about yourself, reinforce it throughout the day, and turn to sleep as you reaffirm your function and your only purpose here. These two practice periods may be longer than the rest, if you find them helpful and want to extend them.
So let go of the ego’s views of you today. Know your purpose and know the truth that you are the light of the world.
