I love this lesson. Yesterday, I was thinking about many of those that preceded it and it came to me that Jesus was pronouncing:
I am blessed as a Son of God. To me this means, we are ALL blessed so why would I harbor grievances, why would I project onto others or myself? Why would I waste any time or energy forgetting I am a Son of God when I can feel/experience this blessing in the Holy Instant?
God goes with me wherever I go. All that means is God is in my mind, I am in His. He is in the part of the mind that has made the choice to align with Him through the Holy Spirit or Jesus. He is available 24/7. He is our center of peace, tranquility, serenity and wholeness. Doesn’t matter where we are in form, a crowded grocery store or theater, among a group of people at a celebration, wherever we are in time and space…or think we are…He is forever in our MIND as ideas leave not their Source.
God is my strength. Vision is His gift. A precursor to today’s lesson. The strength of God enables us to experience Vision, that which occurs beyond time and space, beyond form, beyond the body to the holiness of everyone with whom we interact and, really, the perfection of any circumstance in which we find ourselves that can serve as a catalyst for forgiveness and salvation. That’s how deeply we are loved and treasured. WOW!
God is my Source. I cannot see apart from Him. “Perception is not an attribute of God. His is the realm of knowledge. With this link with God (the Holy Spirit), perception will become so changed and purified that it will lead to knowledge.” First paragraph.
“Made (perception) by the Son of God for an unholy purpose, it must become the means for the restoration of his holiness to his awareness. Healed perception becomes the means by which the Son of God forgives his brother, and thus forgives himself.” Second paragraph.
WOW!
God is the light in which I see. For me, this lesson speaks to the power of meditation, becoming still, detaching from our preoccupation with worldly stuff and letting go. Also, we note any resistance to sinking deeply down into the mind, knowing it is a natural process unless we choose to thwart it.
God is the Mind in which I think. I already spoke to this lesson by referencing earlier lessons, “These thoughts do not mean anything”, “My thoughts do not mean anything”, etc. WOW again. If I am thinking with God, why would I have any grievances, any cares, any concerns, any anxiety? Why would I ever need to label anything or any circumstance?
Later on in the WB, Jesus uses “My mind holds only what I think with God”, cannot remember where it is, doesn’t matter, maybe in a review section, but that’s such a powerful thought to which I aspire in my practice.
God is the Love in which I forgive. God doesn’t condemn. He doesn’t even know we’re here, as Jesus states, ah, but the Holy Spirit is available 24/7 to help us forgive seeming others so we can forgive ourselves of our own sense of sin, guilt and fear we have projected onto them to escape from God’s wrath. So silly, isn’t it?
AND TODAY’S:
God is the strength in which I trust.
We are blessed; we are safe and protected, secure in God’s Love 24/7, we have His strength within us, thereby enabling us to receive/experience His vision; The Source or mind of God is within us, we are One, we cannot see apart from Him when aligned with Him; we can see beyond the body to the light in everything; we can choose to think with God 24/7; we can become more and more motivated to forgive because we will find peace and, one more time; the strength is within us. We no longer have to be in the prison of judgment, condemnation and self-crucifixion. But, to release ourselves, we must release everyone and everything that we have imprisoned right along with us.
The brilliance of this Course and its sequencing the lessons in our mind training blows me away as I contemplate the 47 lessons we’ve addressed thus far. Our minds are no longer wholly untrained. Slowly, but surely, we are being taught that we want peace above all else, in the most gentle, loving and kind manner imaginable.
I am so thankful that the Course and MO presented themselves to me and that I was ready to receive their abundant gifts and treasure!
Have a lovely day and lots of love,
Gayle
