Lesson 47 – God is the strength in which I trust.

Keys to this Lesson

Well, it is no surprise Jesus tells us that if we are trusting in our own strength that we feel miserable.
We think we know it all and know the big picture to any situation and honestly we do not.
We do not know what the RIGHT thing to do is.

By ourselves we can do nothing but when we put our faith in our Father we find that we are safe in Him.
He loves us and protects us through His strength.

We are reaching His strength today.

Exercise

4, 5 minute practice periods.
However, longer and more frequent practices are urged.
Close your eyes and begin by repeat today’s idea.
Spend a minute or so in searching for situations in your life what you have invested fear, dismiss them by saying:
God is the strength in which I trust.

I’m thinking about my oral surgery tomorrow.
God is the strength in which I trust.

Slip past all concerns and all judgments you may have about yourself.
Any situation that causes you concern somehow has made you feel inadequate.

By not trusting ourselves we gain confidence!

In the latter phase of the practice, reach down into your mind to the place of safety.
You recognize when you feel a sense of deep peace, even if this is a very miniscule moment.
In that you have succeeded.
Jesus tells us to let go of all the trivial things that churn and bubble on the surface of our minds.
Reach down below those trivial things and reach the Kingdom of Heaven.

There is a place in you where there is perfect peace.
There is a place in you where nothing is impossible.
There is a place in you where the strength of God abides.

During the rest of the day repeat the idea for today often.
If you feel disturbed or not at peace, repeat the idea.
Remembering that peace is your right because you are giving your trust to the strength of God.

Since you’re here… …we have a small favor to ask. More people are reading our posts, listening to our audios and watching our videos than ever before but far fewer are donating for it. As an all-volunteer ministry, you can see why we need to ask for your help. MiraclesOne provides ACIM resources freely however it takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe in encouraging others to practically apply the Course principles in their lives – because it might just make the one difference in your life. If everyone who reads, listens or watches and likes what we offer helps to pay for it we can continue to afford our expenses and keep our resources FREE to all ACIM Students. Monthly Donors receive free gifts in appreciation for their support.
