Keys to this Lesson
Today’s idea shows you where your real thoughts are.
They are nothing that you think you think, the same as what we think we see is nothing.
Jesus assures us that there is no relationship between what we think is real and what is truly Real.
He then tells us that we think with God and we share our thoughts with Him and He with us.
We are part of the Mind of God, so are our thoughts, and our thoughts cannot leave from Him, our source.
Where are our real thoughts?
With today’s practice we will attempt to reach our real thoughts.
We have to go into our mind to look for them and they are there, whether we believe that idea or not.
Why?
Because thoughts do not leave their Source.
Exercise
3, 5 minute practice periods.
Similar to yesterday’s practice.
We will let nothing hold us back, the world, our thoughts of the world or any beliefs.
The world would tell us there is no way that we can reach our real thoughts.
Do not listen to the ego’s small voice in this.
In God all things are possible.
We cannot fail at all.
He tells us that there is every reason to feel confident that we will succeed today because it is the Will of God.
Repeat the idea to yourself, closing your eyes as you do so.
Spend a short time in thinking relevant thoughts keeping today’s idea in mind.
Come up with about 4-5 of those thoughts.
I happily think the thoughts of God.
My mind is aligned with my Father’s.
My mind is eternal as are my thoughts.
Then repeat today’s idea and tell yourself:
My real thoughts are in my mind. I would like to find them.
Then go past all the unreal thoughts that cover the truth in your mind.
Reach the eternal.
Our mind has been cluttered up with meaningless thoughts.
The Thoughts of God have always been with us.
In today’s practice we are joining with the Mind of God.
Jesus tells us that in this practice today only one thing is necessary:
Approach as you would approach an altar dedicated in Heaven to God the Father and God the Son.
This is what you are attempting to approach.
It is a very holy and sacred task.
For the shorter periods today, remember how important it is to understand the holiness of the mind that thinks with God.
Take a minute or so, repeat the idea through the day.
As you do this, appreciate your mind’s holiness.
Let unholy thoughts dissipate as you stay focused on your holiness.
When you are complete thank Him sincerely for the Thoughts He thinks with you.

Since you’re here… …we have a small favor to ask. More people are reading our posts, listening to our audios and watching our videos than ever before but far fewer are donating for it. As an all-volunteer ministry, you can see why we need to ask for your help. MiraclesOne provides ACIM resources freely however it takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe in encouraging others to practically apply the Course principles in their lives – because it might just make the one difference in your life. If everyone who reads, listens or watches and likes what we offer helps to pay for it we can continue to afford our expenses and keep our resources FREE to all ACIM Students. Monthly Donors receive free gifts in appreciation for their support.
