Keys to this Lesson
Today’s idea tells us pretty plainly that this is why a meaningless world is impossible.
As Jesus tells us, what God did not create does not exist.
And only what He created exists.
The world we see is only what we made and it is not real.
We take yet another step in letting go of our thoughts that have made this world and see God’s Word and reality instead.
As we continue on the lesson path we may find it difficult or we may experience pain or feel fear.
The good news is that you will move beyond it.
Jesus assures us that we are heading in the right direction, that of perfect safety and perfect peace.
Eyes closed through the exercise.
Mind-search for about a minute.
Think of the horrors in the world that cross your mind.
Name each one, then deny its reality.
Anything that you might be afraid that might happen to you or someone you love. This means anyone.
God did not create that war, and so it is not real.
God did not create that airplane crash, and so it is not real.
Be sure to name it specifically, do not use general terms.
He gives us the example:
Do not say “God did not create illness,” but, “God did not create cancer.”
God did not create that bombing, and so it is not real.
Whatever may come to mind.
What God did not create can only be in your own mind.
It has no meaning
Conclude with “God did not create a meaningless world.”
No more than 3 practices today unless you are comfortable.
You can also use this if anything comes to you that upsets or disturbs you in some way.
Be specific: God did not create a meaningless world. He did not create that shooting, and so it is not real.
